Bereavement Bags

Bereavement BagsSusan Wishart, one of our District Safeguarding Officers, writes, "Our colleagues in the North West had the idea for Bereavement Bags, small brown carriers containing tiny wooden crosses, a candle to light, a packet of Forget-Me-Not seeds, tea bags and a selection of printed prayers and readings for three situations; one for people who have been unable to go to a funeral, one for someone whose loved one has died and one for someone who is dying. They are a gesture of support and care from the Methodist Church for people in these very difficult times when the normal grieving process, which includes funerals and getting together with family and friends, has not been possible. For a short time there is no cost and they can be ordered through the Superintendent Ministers."

If you would like details of where to send crafted Angels, please email The Revd Doctor Tracey Darling at This email address is being protected from spambots.
